Are you ready to be happier and healthier? So are we. Inside the latest edition of parkrun magazine, you’ll find loads of ideas, from ways to strike up a conversation to how to fit stealthy strength training into your everyday life. And we celebrate our very special birthday. If you’d like a FREE copy of the mag, click here to order one.

After three fantastic years of the project, we’ve decided to end the magazine on this special twentieth anniversary edition. It’s time to focus on other ways to tell stories, and to get them heard by those who might not yet know about parkrun. You can still read about everything that is happening at parkrun on our website and on all the usual social channels.  Thanks to everyone who has contributed to, and read parkrun magazine.

In this final issue we celebrate twenty years of parkrun, from its tiny origins in Bushy Park to a charity with branches around the world. From a few friends meeting up, to reaching millions around the world, we dive into parkrun’s incredible journey and look eagerly towards its future.

We also chat with Emon Choudhury, winner of BBC’s Race Across the World, who tells us how parkrun has become a central part of his family life – and get romantic, meeting the couples who made parkrun a central part of their wedding celebrations.

Not all of us find it easy to make connections, or even just to start a conversation. So this month we have some really helpful, simple tips on how to embrace the social side, and forge genuine lasting friendships. We’ve also asked our top coaches to put together some super-stealthy exercises that can help you build basic fitness, strength and balance, whatever your age.

And finally, if you struggle to find healthy snacks – we’ve got the answer with simple, inexpensive and tasty recipes to give you that energy hit you need!
